Holiday Accommodation & Location Details

Located in tranquil woodland the Crake Valley Park provides the perfect base for the exploration of both the Lake District and the North of England as a whole. The holiday park does not contain any facilities for amusement, just a laundry room equipped with drying facilities for when the weather is not great.

The nearby coast located within the boundaries of the Lake District hosts miles of unspoilt rugged coastline with endless species of seabirds to watch and walks to discover on offer, with the possibilities really being endless. The perfect location really does compensate for the lack of entertainment in this regards.

However the lack of the more typical holiday camp styled entertainment does not mean that you will be at a loss when it comes to finding things to do. The possibility exists in the Lake District to participate in numerous outdoor activities which the wide outdoor expanses make possible, from spending a day sailing to climbing the cliffs of the coast.

For those interested in locomotives the old single gauge Ravenglass railway is close by being a great option to traverse one of the oldest railway lines in all of Cumbria.

The Windermere and Coniston caravan’s offer accommodation for 250 pounds per week and can sleep four and six respectively. The Coniston caravan is simply the same as the Windermere except it has a fold out sofa bed to accommodate an extra two people, making it a great choice for the slightly larger family, or those with young children who don’t want to have their families separated.

There is also an option to stay in the Peak Lodge which is suitable for four people and houses four within two bedrooms and double and a single with two separate beds. The Peak lodge costs 450 pounds per week so is a somewhat pricier alternative, but is worth it for those who value extra space, or need extra area to store outdoor equipment.

Both lodges and static caravans come equipped with flat screen televisions as standard to provide entertainment for those rainy days in, were heading out into the hills is not the best option. As with most of the holiday parks, beds are freshly made prior to arrival with accommodation being ready to live in straight away.
