Holiday Accommodation & Location Details
Gadgirth Lodges is a placid retreat situated alongside the Ayr River, within the grounds of the beautiful Gadgirth Estate. The estate itself has its very own riverside orchard and extensive woodland for walks and strolls. There is all the option to fish salmon if you happen to visit in the fishing season between March and October.
Accommodation comes down to a choice between two different lodges which sleep between four and six people and cost £295 and £315 respectively. The option for six people is the Gadgirth lodge which has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and room for two more people in the living room.
The living area itself is open plan with a spacious kitchen and sauna. The slightly smaller accommodation option sleeps four people in two bedrooms, one twin and one double. The smaller lodge also has a large bathroom with a corner bath. Heating is provided in the lodges by wood burning stoves which really add to the character of the lodges.
The added benefit of Gadgirth lodges is the fact that it is free to bring one pet, in staying in designated lodges as well as it being free to borrow a highchair for a child.
As previously stated Gadgirth lodges are located on an estate which has extensive gardens and grounds. This makes the grounds the perfect place to walk the dog and relax.
The surrounding area also provides many options for activities, excursions and eating out. Great pubs providing simple honest food can be found by driving a short distance from the estate, which seem to be very affordable providing options for children as well.
Heading further afield Glasgow is definitely worth a visit, and makes for a perfect opportunity to do some shopping or simple look around the historic city. There are also various small towns in the vicinity which can be reached with ease such as Fort William.Tags:
