Keldy Forest is a quiet log cabin park close to the town of Pickering which is in the Vale of York. The lodge park is also located entirely within a Forestry Commission Estate which provides a number of fantastic opportunities for visitors to pursue a range of different outdoor activities ranging from hiking to following nature trails in the woods.
The log cabin park is also located close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park which is also a Mecca for those interested in outdoor sports and activities. The seaside town of Scarborough is also close by which provides a fantastic day out for all of the family, due to the vast amount of amusements on offer in the town.
Facilities at Keldy Forest are also pretty comprehensive and include a shop with a coffee lounge. There is also a children’s play area. A number of forest trails are available on site which can be pursued on foot or by bike.
Mountain bike hire is also available at the park, and is a fantastic way to explore the surrounding area. There are also ranger led walks and activities and dog friendly log cabins mean the whole family can come away with you. Pets are charged at £8 per night with a maximum of three in any specified log cabins.
There are eight different types of accommodation available at Keldy Forest which consist of a series of different lodges and a holiday cottage. One of these is the Golden Oak cottage which sleeps two people and costs from £499 per week. The cottage has a bath with an ensuite shower as well as a sauna and an outdoor hot tub. There is also a large double bedroom.
A holiday lodge available to book and a great budget option is the Silver Birch 3 lodge which sleeps six and costs from £460 per week. This lodge has a double bedroom with an ensuite shower as well as a twin bedroom, and a room with bunk beds. There is also a veranda outside and a decking area which has an outdoor hot tub.
The Golden Oak Treehouse is a great accommodation for families or groups of friends and sleeps 8 people. The main lodge has a master double bedroom with ensuite and two twin bedrooms. Outside is a verandah with an outdoor hot tub and by adventure bridge you can reach the treehouse with double bedroom and a shower.
There are another five accommodations available and these sleep anywhere from four to six people.
