Holiday Accommodation & Location Details
Portmile Lodges are a charming collection of luxury lodges and are at Cockwood Harbour which is near to Dawlish in the South of Devon. The log cabin park is set in beautiful landscaped grounds with accommodations commanding exceptional views of the surrounding countryside.
The lodges are located just 20 minutes from the M5 motorway meaning they are easy to access for those travelling down from many different areas of the UK. The picturesque and postcard Cockermouth Harbour is only 5 minutes away as well.
One of the biggest draws to Portmile Lodges is the fact that the location provides a fantastic gateway to a range of interesting places in the immediate area. One great option for a family day out is to head to Dartmoor National Park which is famous for its steep Tors and Ponies which roam freely across the Moor.
There are also endless opportunities to enjoy water sports and activities in one of Dartmoors many rivers as well as bike hire centres being available in the surrounding area. The main city in this part of Devon is Exeter which has quite a wide range of shops and eating out options. Plymouth is of course another alternative which is around an hours drive away to the West.
Heading further down the Southern coast visitors will surely want to see some of the beaches of the South Hams which have crystal clear, and largely placid waters in the summer months.
Accommodation is provided exclusively by a series of luxury lodges which sleep between 4 and 6 people. The Langstone Lodge which sleeps six and costs from £325 per week is a great family holiday choice. This lodge has a double bedroom as well as a twin, with the double having an en suite bathroom.
Another holiday lodge option is very luxurious and is the Sandbar lodge which also sleeps six people. The lodge costs from £405 per week and has a double bedroom as well as two twins with en-suite showers. There is also a family bathroom as well as an outdoor hot tub located just outside of the lodge near the decking area.
There are other lodges available and this includes the Seasalt which sleeps 4 people and has a private outdoor hot tub and the Rocksea Lodge which also sleeps 4 and has an outdoor hot tub.
Portmile Lodges also has been awarded the David Bellamy Award for Conservation (Silver) which means the log cabin park fits perfectly into the natural surroundings and environment.Tags: Lodges in Devon, Lodges in England, Lodges in South Devon, Lodges in South West England
