Holiday Accommodation & Location Details
Lake Windermere in the centre of the Lake District hosts the White Cross Bay Holiday Park. Lake Windermere is known to be one of the most popular places for tourists in the Lake District due to the outstanding natural beauty of the lake as well the activities on offer.
The White Cross Bay also holds the David Bellamy award for conservation which was given to the park due to the protection it has offered wildlife in the area. The Park itself also has plenty of facilities on offer to make sure you keep entertained such as a large modern club house, a sauna, a large heated swimming pool, and a multi use games area.
Accommodation options are marginally more expensive than the average with prices starting at 345 pounds per week for a four person caravan equipped with two bedrooms and a bathroom. If you plan to attend with more than four people there are two options both capable of sleeping six, the white cross standard three lodge for 501 pounds per week, and the White Cross Superior three caravan which costs 390 pounds per week.
The main difference as always between the lodge and the caravan is simply the amount of space on offer, with the lodge having a much larger kitchen and living room for a more comfortable stay. There is also a four bedroom lodge on offer which is a good option considering it is only 460 pounds per week.
Outside of the holiday park there is a second national park on offer the Yorkshire Dales within an easy commute. The Yorkshire Dales hosts numerous chocolate box towns and villages just waiting to be explored. Visiting these is a perfect way to escape the holiday park for a day and to find somewhere nice for a meal in a traditional English pub.Tags: Lodges in Cumbria, Lodges in England, Lodges in North of England
